PIG FEED
From relevant studies, adding a certain amount of tryptophan to the diet can increase pig feed intake, promote growth, alleviate stress, enhance immunity, improve meat quality, and increase feed conversion rate. Similarly, the tail biting phenomenon caused by weaning and close feeding in pigs can also be solved by supplementing with tryptophan. Tryptophan can be converted into nicotinamide, which promotes the growth of livestock and poultry, and prevents the occurrence of nicotinamide deficiency, improving the protein synthesis rate of liver, skin, and overall components in growing pigs. For the appropriate content of dietary tryptophan, NRC (1998) pointed out that the total tryptophan requirement for 20-50 kg pigs is 0.13% to 0.18%.

POULTRY FEED
Tryptophan and its main metabolites, such as 5-HT and melatonin, can reduce the emission of nitrogen from poultry manure, improve the utilization of crude protein, and reduce environmental pollution caused by intensive livestock and poultry farming by regulating animal feeding, immunity, and stress resistance. Adding tryptophan can reduce the aggressiveness of chickens and reduce pecking of feathers and anus. Tryptophan has an impact on fat metabolism and can reduce the content of liver fat in poultry;
LEARN MOREAQUACULTURE
1) An appropriate amount of tryptophan can increase the intestinal length, weight, index, and fold height of aquatic animals, as well as the activity of proteases, lipases, and amylases in the liver, pancreas, and intestines, thereby improving the apparent digestibility of proteins, amino acids, and dry matter. When the tryptophan content in grass carp feed is 0.07% -0.31%, the feed intake and weight gain rate significantly increase with the increase of feed tryptophan content, and the weight gain rate is significantly positively correlated with the feed intake
2) Tryptophan can alleviate the crowding stress caused by high-density aquaculture and improve the growth performance of aquatic animals
3) Tryptophan enhances the activity and gene expression of antioxidant enzymes, inhibits pro-inflammatory factors, and increases the gene expression of anti-inflammatory factors, thereby enhancing the body's disease resistance.
